Abstract
On July 15, the Ministry of industry and information technology released the economic operation of the battery industry from January to may 2021. The full text is as follows:
1、 Production situation
From January to may 2021, among the main products of battery manufacturing industry in China, the output of lithium-ion batteries was 8.61 billion, a year-on-year increase of 56.0%; The output of lead-acid battery was 103.806 million KVA, a year-on-year increase of 32.3%; The output of primary batteries and primary battery packs (non buckle) was 17.2 billion, a year-on-year increase of 19.2%.
In January, the output of lithium-ion batteries in China was 1.88 billion, a year-on-year increase of 29.2%; The output of lead-acid battery was 20.284 million KVA, with a year-on-year increase of 7.2%; The output of primary batteries and primary battery packs (non buckle type) was 3.43 billion, a year-on-year decrease of 0.7%.

From January to may 2021, the operating revenue of battery manufacturing enterprises above Designated Size in China was 396.73 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 58.2%, and the total profit was 22.03 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 134.6%（ Data source: according to the data of China Light Industry Information Center)
